LaunchPad project: Towards a Virtual Human Body
Our project is about creating stronger connections as well as to develop, visualize and promote access to tools and expertise at research infrastructures in the Baltic Sea Area (BSA). In particular, we will develop a methodology to facilitate a rapid and easy development, and the deployment, of virtual versions of sensitive, complex and, not least, expensive, instruments for collecting data.
These virtual versions can provide researchers, technicians, students, and also the general public, an on-demand and cost-effective way to gain access to these facilities. Using such systems, these groups can learn how to setup test samples and perform complex experiments, and in this way gain a detailed understanding of the instrument functionalities without risking costly downtime.

Importantly, HALOS will provide a platform for access to the needed expertise for the entire pipeline of planning, execution and analysis stages of research projects.”
Baltic Science Network
Our forum is for for higher education, science and research cooperation in the Baltic Sea Region. Therefore, BSN is gathering relevant transnational, national and regional policy actors from the Baltic Sea Region countries.
The Network is a springboard for targeted multilateral activities in the frame of research and innovation excellence, mobility of scientists and expanded participation. The platform is tailored to provide advice on how to enhance a macro-regional dimension in higher education, science and research cooperation.
